This section expresses the sense of the Senate that (1) it acknowledges Pope Leo XIV's commitment to promoting human dignity, defending the poor and marginalized, advancing interfaith dialogue, and fostering reconciliation and peace; (2) it hopes the U.S.-Holy See relationship continues to deepen based on shared values of human rights, religious freedom, and global cooperation; (3) it recognizes the Catholic Church's significance in promoting justice, humanitarian assistance, and moral leadership; and (4) it extends best wishes for a successful pontificate.
