This section (1) designates May 2025 as "American Stroke Month"; (2) recognizes and reaffirms the U.S. commitment to fighting stroke by promoting awareness of its causes, risks, and prevention; supporting stroke research; and improving access to affordable, quality care to reduce long-term disability and mortality; (3) commends the efforts of states, localities, nonprofits, businesses, and individuals in support of American Stroke Month; and (4) encourages all U.S. individuals to learn stroke risk factors and warning signs and to immediately dial 911 upon first signs of stroke.
