This section designates June 15, 2025, as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and June 2025 as Elder Abuse Awareness Month. It recognizes efforts by judges, lawyers, adult protective services professionals, law enforcement, social workers, health care providers, advocates, the Elder Justice Coordinating Council, State long-term care ombudsman programs, and adult protective services personnel to combat elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation; applauds the Elder Justice Coalition for increasing public awareness and reporting; and encourages the public, professionals, agencies, and federal entities to promote awareness, prevention, detection, reporting, and collaboration against elder abuse, particularly for vulnerable older adults in communities and long-term care facilities.
