This section expresses the sense of the Senate by (1) offering condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the seven victims of the July 4, 2022, shooting along the parade route in Highland Park, Illinois—Katherine Goldstein, Irina McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Stephen Straus, Jacquelyn Sundheim, Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza, and Eduardo Uvaldo; (2) honoring the victims' lives and memory; (3) extending support to those injured and traumatized; (4) thanking law enforcement officers, medical personnel, and emergency responders; and (5) standing in solidarity with victims of gun violence nationwide.
