S.Res. 373 — A resolution recognizing the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Cabo Verde and celebrating the contributions of Cabo Verdean-Americans to democracy in Cabo Verde and the United States.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate congratulating the Republic of Cabo Verde on the 50th anniversary of its independence on July 5, 1975, by (1) extending sincere congratulations and best wishes to its people; (2) expressing support for the principles of freedom, democracy, and good governance to which Cabo Verde is committed; (3) commending the Cabo Verdean-American community for its contributions to the United States and as a bridge between the two countries; (4) noting Cabo Verde's important role in African and transatlantic affairs since independence; and (5) commending Cabo Verde's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its condemnation of Russia's invasion.
