This section expresses the sense of the Senate that (1) Ashli Babbitt's actions on January 6, 2021, constitute disqualifying conduct under 10 U.S.C. § 985 (which prohibits military funeral honors for veterans whose death circumstances would bring discredit upon their service), rendering her ineligible for such honors from the Air Force; and (2) the Senate thanks law enforcement officers and others who defended the Capitol that day and rejects efforts to glorify or legitimize those who sought to overturn the Constitution.
