This section supports the designation of the week of September 11 through September 17, 2025, as Patriot Week; recognizes the importance of understanding U.S. history and first principles to the nation's survival as a free people; acknowledges the need to honor those principles, founders, documents, and symbols in reverence to the victims of the September 11, 2001, attacks; affirms that each generation should renew the U.S. spirit based on those elements; and encourages citizens, schools, educational institutions, and federal, state, and local governments to participate by promoting the study of U.S. history.
