S.Res. 39 — A resolution supporting the observation of National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month during the period beginning on January 1, 2025, and ending on February 1, 2025, to raise awareness of, and opposition to, human trafficking and modern slavery.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate supporting (1) the observance of National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month from January 1, 2025, through February 1, 2025; (2) programs and activities for the month culminating in National Freedom Day on February 1, 2025 (i.e., the day commemorating President Lincoln's signing of the joint resolution proposing the 13th Amendment, as proclaimed annually under 36 U.S.C. 124); (3) partnerships among federal, state, tribal, and local agencies, survivors of human trafficking, social service providers, and nonprofits to address human trafficking through a victim-centered approach; and (4) other efforts to prevent, eradicate, raise awareness of, and oppose human trafficking and modern slavery.
