This section designates September 2025 as National Voting Rights Month and expresses the sense of the Senate that (1) all people in the United States should uphold every citizen's right to vote; (2) Congress should pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2025 (S. 2523; H.R. 14, 119th Congress) and other voting rights legislation; (3) public schools and universities should develop curricula on the importance of voting, voter registration and processes, the history of voter suppression, and current voting restrictions; (4) appreciation is expressed for the U.S. Postal Service's John R. Lewis stamp honoring his voting rights legacy; and (5) Congress should allocate funds for public service announcements across media to promote election dates, registration deadlines, and voter participation.
