S.Res. 422 — A resolution recognizing the seriousness of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and expressing support for the designation of September 2025 as "PCOS Awareness Month".

This section recognizes polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as a serious disorder impacting cardiometabolic, reproductive, mental health, and quality of life; expresses support for designating September 2025 as PCOS Awareness Month; and outlines related sense-of-the-Senate positions, including (1) supporting the month's goals of increasing public awareness of PCOS and comorbidities (e.g., type 2 diabetes, endometrial cancer, cardiovascular disease, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, mental health disorders), improving diagnosis and treatment, disseminating management information, and enhancing quality of life; (2) recognizing the need for further research, improved treatments, and a cure; (3) acknowledging struggles of affected women and girls; (4) urging medical researchers and health care professionals to advance understanding, research, diagnosis, and treatment; and (5) encouraging states, territories, and localities to support the month's goals.
