This section expresses the sense of the Senate (1) condemning attacks on federal law enforcement in Illinois; (2) recognizing failures by Illinois and Chicago governments to protect residents from violent crime; (3) commending federal law enforcement personnel; (4) condemning obstructions of federal immigration enforcement; (5) condemning pro-criminal prosecutorial policies in Chicago; (6) condemning prioritization of politics over resident safety; (7) reaffirming exclusive federal authority over immigration; (8) recognizing federal responsibility to combat violent crime amid state policy failures; (9) supporting measures to protect federal law enforcement and facilities; (10) supporting full prosecution of attackers; and (11) encouraging state and local governments to support federal law enforcement.
