S.Res. 477 — A resolution designating the first full week in May as "Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week".

This section designates the first full week in May as Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week. In recognition of that week, the Senate (1) underscores the importance of early detection and intervention to improve outcomes for individuals living with mental health conditions or prescribed antipsychotics; and (2) supports efforts to raise awareness about the causes and symptoms of tardive dyskinesia (i.e., a movement disorder associated with prolonged antipsychotic use) and the importance of routine screening.
