It (1) recognizes the impact of toxic exposures on veterans, members of the Armed Forces, their families, and survivors; (2) honors their sacrifices; (3) calls on the Department of Defense to prevent future exposures and commends its efforts to meet industry standards overseas; (4) states the Senate's intent to pursue related legislation; and (5) encourages the public and Department of Veterans Affairs to promote awareness, support affected individuals, provide resources and screenings, improve clinical guidelines, and conduct research.
