This section expresses the sense of the Senate that (1) it welcomes the European Union's commitment to end its dependence on Russian fossil fuels and to deny Russia revenue for its war in Ukraine; (2) it welcomes the Trump Administration's sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil and calls on U.S. allies to terminate related contracts to avoid secondary sanctions; (3) the United States should coordinate with G7 countries, the European Union, and the United Kingdom on additional sanctions against Russian energy sources; (4) it is concerned that Hungary has not reduced its dependence on Russian fossil fuels; (5) Hungary and other Russian energy consumers should adhere to the REPowerEU initiative timeline; and (6) there is bipartisan opposition to the Nord Stream I and II pipelines and any efforts to revive them.
