S.Res. 55 — A resolution recognizing January 2025 as "National Mentoring Month".

This section resolves that the Senate—(1) recognizes January 2025 as National Mentoring Month; (2) recognizes staff and volunteers at quality mentoring programs who help youth find inner strength and reach their potential; (3) acknowledges mentoring benefits including support for educational achievement, self-confidence, career goals, social capital, reduced juvenile delinquency, and stronger communities; (4) promotes establishment and expansion of quality mentoring programs; and (5) supports initiatives to close the mentoring gap for youth lacking meaningful adult connections outside the home.
