S.Res. 567 — A resolution expressing that any attempt by foreign entities to censor or penalize constitutionally protected speech of United States persons shall be opposed.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate that it (1) reaffirms its commitment to protecting the commercial interests and free speech rights of United States persons; (2) recognizes the Digital Services Act as incompatible with U.S. free speech traditions and technology companies' commitments to hosting diverse opinions; (3) disapproves of foreign entities exporting censorship or limiting U.S. persons' free speech; (4) disapproves of foreign entities levying fines or penalties on U.S. persons for constitutionally protected activities; (5) disapproves of European Union attempts to force U.S. entities to develop or use products and technology that undermine free speech or foster censorship; (6) commits to opposing such activities; and (7) urges the Trump administration to provide swift and firm responses to any implementation of such activities.
