S.Res. 569 — A resolution expressing support for declaring 2026 the "Year of Math" in the United States.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate (1) supporting the declaration of a Year of Math in the United States; (2) celebrating the United States as host of the International Congress of Mathematicians 2026 and its use to promote mathematical sciences and the benefits of mathematics and statistics education; (3) recognizing mathematics as underpinning all STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines, which are critical to U.S. national security and economic prosperity; and (4) celebrating the role of mathematics and statistics in everyday U.S. life, including in technology, news, games, literature, and music.
