S.Res. 697 — A resolution welcoming Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom to the United States on the occasion of His Majesty's address to a joint meeting of Congress, and recognizing the historic global significance of the United States-United Kingdom relationship.

This section welcomes Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their first official state visit to the United States in preparation for His Majesty’s address before a joint meeting of Congress; (1) recognizes the historic significance of the visit on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence; (2) reaffirms the strong partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom to defend common values and advance peace, security, and prosperity; (3) expresses appreciation for the historic friendship between the peoples of the two nations; and (4) encourages deeper U.S.-UK cooperation on strategic security, including in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.
